The Story
Each page of this book is filled with front covers from the Washington Post covering the major events of the 1980s.
The 1980s was a decade of large political change when both Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev were sworn in to be the leaders of the United States and the Soviet Union. These two leaders would ultimately end the Cold War, easing tensions between the two nations with the 1987 nuclear missile treaty.
One of the biggest weddings of, perhaps all time, was watched by millions when Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in St Paul’s Cathedral on 29th July 1981.
