The Story

Each page of this book is filled with front covers from the Washington Post covering the major events of the 1970s.

The 1970s was an eventful decade, seeing Richard Nixon become the only US President to resign from office in the wake of the Watergate Scandal. The 1970s also saw the end of the Vietnam War, a twenty-year conflict that killed millions of soldiers and civilians.

Elvis Presley died at the age of 44, and four months later, another entertainment icon lost his life. Charlie Chaplin died, at the age of 88.
